Black Friday 2026 lands on Friday 27 November, with Cyber Monday on Monday 30 November. Before the offers start rolling in, it helps to look back: which UK shops did best last year? Here is our top 5, with what stood out.
The top 5 UK shops from last year
We looked at last year’s Black Friday week (21 November to 2 December 2025) and at the UK shops that did best through Giftomatic. These five came out on top:
- Argos: number 1. Toys, tech, home and beauty all sit under one roof. Good timing: Argos already has its Black Friday page live, with up to 50% off toys, home, beauty and more until 2 December.
- Amazon: a mix of everyday and gadget buys. Popular picks included the Fire TV Stick 4K, the Echo Dot and Prime membership.
- Just Eat: takeaway delivery rather than gifts, handy to know about if you spend the weekend shopping.
- Sports Direct: trainers, sportswear and equipment, a reliable choice for gifts that do not need wrapping skills.
- Currys: tech. Apple iPad, the Meta Quest 3S, wireless earbuds and air fryers were among the favourites. Currys also has a Black Friday page up.
What to take from this for Black Friday 2026
- Tech and toys lead the way: tablets, headsets, earbuds and kitchen gadgets did well. Make a short wish list now, so you can act fast on the day.
- Check the event pages first. Retailers often announce their offers only shortly before the day itself.
- Read the small print: some offers apply to selected lines only or end on a set date.
- Leave time for delivery if the gift is meant for under the tree.
Getting more from your gift card
Got a gift card with a balance left? Black Friday is a good moment to use it, as long as the shop accepts it. Check with the card issuer which shops your card works in. For how that works with the All in One Choice Gift Card, see our article on the All in One Choice Gift Card.
